ANNUAL REPORT MESSAGE FROM THE PROJECT'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Welcome to the Seniors vs. Crime website!

It has been a year since the 25th Anniversary of one of the most unique and successful volunteer programs in the nation - Seniors Vs Crime, a Special Project of the Florida Attorney General was born. We have come a long way since our inception when we were, primarily, a crime prevention program utilizing seniors to give crime prevention tips to their peers.

I would invite you to take the time to read the Annual Report to the Florida Attorney General. This report can answer many questions you may have about the Seniors vs. Crime Project while also documenting the success that the Project has had over the past year in assisting those who needed our help. In addition to the history of the Project, administration of the programs, partnerships and statistical data, the report also has case synopses from all areas of the state. These case briefs will show you the wide variety of complaints that we handle and the success that our Senior Sleuths have in resolving often complex cases.

If you are in need of assistance; wish to have someone speak to your group or wish to pursue volunteer opportunities you will find tabs on the site to take you to each of those areas where you can connect directly with us. If you would prefer to meet with A Senior Sleuth volunteer directly, we have provided a page where you can select the office nearest to you. You can then call and set up an appointment or ask any questions you may have.

You may also make use of our toll free number 1-800-203-3099 to request assistance, volunteer, request a speaker or ask questions.

The Seniors vs. Crime Project is successful partially due to the outstanding support of the Attorney General and the strong partnerships being developed with law enforcement and senior services groups throughout the state. None of our success would have been possible without the quality of work performed by our extraordinary Senior Sleuth volunteers. Our continued success depends on our Senior Sleuth volunteers and the dedication they bring to the Project.

Seniors vs. Crime is always in need of volunteers who wish to give back to their communities. There are many ways to contribute as noted under the Who We Are tab. If you are ready to volunteer now-simply fill out volunteer application found on this site. You will then be contacted by the Regional Director for the area where you live with more information for you.

Enjoy your visit to our site. I hope that the information provided here will be of interest to you or help you with a problem that you may having. Remember-We are staffed by volunteers whose only payment is the smiles of thankful people they have helped. If we recover $1.00 or $100.000.00 the result is the same. ALL money goes back to the complainant. Our services are totally free!

Again, Welcome to our site.

Sincerely,

Donald E. Ravenna
